LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Jeff Walz’s team once again finds itself at the top of the nation’s women’s basketball programs.

Louisville moved up to the second spot in the AP Women’s Top 25 after a decisive 73-51 victory over Duke in Durham.

UofL passed up women’s basketball dynasty UConn, who fell to Number 3 following a loss to Baylor.

The Cards have little time to celebrate, as they head to South Bend to take on top-ranked Notre Dame.

The Number 2 spot equals Louisville’s highest.

The Cardinals were ranked second in the country last year, following a 100-67 win over the Fighting Irish.
