Man charged with shooting 2 at Shively bar

SHIVELY, KY (WAVE) - Two men are recovering from wounds they suffered after an early morning shooting in Shively.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. at the 7th Street Hookah Bar and Grill, located at 2752 So. 7th Street Road.

According to Shively police investigators, the shooings began with an argument inside the bar which then turned physical and spilled into the parking lot where the shots were fired.

The suspect, Ahmed-Bashir Ali, 22, was taken into custody at the scene. He was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on two counts of assault.

The victims each had gunshot wounds to their arms. both are expected to recover.
