15 arrested in 14 days by new sheriff’s zero tolerance drug policy

SCOTTSBURG, IN (WAVE) - It's only been two weeks since a new sheriff took over in Scott County, Indiana, but in that time 15 drug offenders have been taken off the streets.

Sheriff Jerry Goodin started his zero tolerance policy for drug offenses on January 1.

He has vowed to make Scott County a drug free county.

Of the 15 arrests, most are charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
