LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb will give his State of the State address Tuesday night.
Holcomb is expected to focus on the four key points of his “Next Level Agenda” -- economy, infrastructure, education and public health.
The education piece is a subcategory of his larger workforce priority, as is career training. Holcomb has said he wants to make Indiana teacher salaries competitive with those of other states in the region. His office also plans to focus on helping high school students earn postsecondary credentials prior to graduation.
Part of the public health goal is to attack Indiana’s well-documented opioid crisis.
Holcomb’s speech to Indiana lawmakers is expected to begin at 7 p.m. and last approximately 30 minutes.
