Fire at Okolona daycare extinguished, no injuries reported

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Firefighters have put out flames at a daycare in Okolona.
The fire was reported at Southside Christian Daycare, located at 8101 Blue Lick Road, around 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, according to MetroSafe.
No injuries have been reported. There were 28 children inside the daycare when the fire started. They have been taken to the Home Depot store next door.
Traffic is shut down on roads near the fire. Drivers in the area should expect delays.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
