Pair accused of using counterfeit cash at Kroger stores in Bardstown and E-town

BARDSTOWN, KY (WAVE) - Bardstown Police have charged two people who they believe were making counterfeit cash and passing it at the supermarket.

Amanda Frank, 37, and David Works, 40, were arrested on January 14, according to police.

Officials said they were notified by the Bardstown Kroger store of the pair passing the counterfeit currency on January 11. An investigation revealed the money had also been used at a Kroger store in Elizabethtown.

Frank has been charged with forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Works was also charged with forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia, in addition to charges for having a stolen firearm and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
