Heavy rain/flooding will remain the main headlines, but there will be a couple of wintry events to watch this week and certainly next week.
Tuesday Evening: Rain to snow showers. Light accumulations.
Friday Night: Rain to snow showers.
Weekend: Clipper mainly west. We’ll watch it.
Next Monday/Tuesday: Rain/Snow/Ice on the table. Setup to watch.
Most of the next few systems will be your typical rain to snow type of setups. They can still cause issues with slick roads, even it amounts are light. There is a clipper that is in the upper air flow this weekend the modeling fades it out west. The angle of the trough will determine its track but something to watch as the modeling just doesn’t “see” it well yet.
The main concern for wintry weather will be early next week. The track may get suppressed enough a wintry mess over the Midwest and Ohio Valley. The modeling hints at accumulating snow and varying types as well. And I do think we will have all types on the table for the region . Being 7 days out, there is just no way to determine that or amounts, so stay close to the forecast. I may be able to put a Twix Index out on this one but not there yet :)
