Elizabethtown police chief retiring after 21 years of service

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - After 21 years of service, the Elizabethtown Chief of Police is retiring.
Jamie Land began as a patrol officer with the Elizabethtown Police Department in 1998.
He has served as Chief of Police since 2017.
Land will continue in his position until June 1.
It’s not clear when a new police chief will be named.
