Campbell County Jailer died in fatal crash on AA Highway

COLD SPRING, KY (FOX19) - A deputy jailer in Campbell County was killed in a crash on AA Highway, according to a post on the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

Lindsay Kent Mitchell, 22, from Burlington, was a Deputy Jailer at the Campbell County Campbell County Detention Center, according to the Facebook post.

Mitchell was killed April 15 when her car was struck by a cargo van traveling in the opposite direction on the AA Highway, police say. Mitchell was turning north from Rocky View Drive.

The two passengers in her vehicle were seriously injured in the crash and were taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

All three victims in the vehicle worked as correctional officers at the Campbell County Detention Center, according to the sheriff’s office.
