Harlan County shop is working to help miners, after mines shut down

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WAVE) - Miners in Harlan County continue to protest, asking for their unpaid wages and benefits.

Hundreds of people were affected when the mines suddenly shut down.

Shop Local Kentucky, based in Lexington, is working to help those miners and their families. They have designed a T-shirt, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to help those miners.

Here is the shirt they designed and are selling in effort to support the miners.
