Mitch McConnell recovering after surgery to repair shoulder fracture
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wants to raise the smoking age from 18 to 21.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, is recovering after surgery to repair a shoulder fracture.

McConnell’s team released the following statement about the Senate Majority leader’s surgery:

“Senator McConnell had successful surgery yesterday in Louisville, Kentucky to repair a fracture in his shoulder. The surgery was performed without incident, and the Leader is grateful to the surgical team for their skill.”

McConnell tripped and fell in his on the outside patio at his Louisville home earlier this month and fractured his shoulder.
