According to JCPS spokesperson Renee Murphy, the gun was found inside a students backpack shortly after arriving on campus Wednesday morning.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Police have charged a PRP High School student after they allegedly brought a gun to school on Wednesday.

According to JCPS spokesperson Renee Murphy, the gun was found inside the students backpack shortly after students arrived on campus.

According to Murpy, the student has been “charged and disciplined according to district policies and procedures.”

It’s unclear if the gun was loaded.
