LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Emergency crews have responded to a possible plane crash that happened at Bowman Field on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Natalie Chaudoin, public information officer for the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, Louisville Fire and Rescue was first on the scene to a call that came in around 2:47 p.m. The call stated that an aircraft had flipped while attempting to land on runway 15.
The aircraft was privately owned and the landing was a planned landing.
There was one passenger on board who was able to exit the plane safely. No injuries have been reported.
The airport had been shutdown when accident occurred. One runway has now been reopened.
The Federal Aviation Administration is headed to Bowman Field to further investigate.
