LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man is now in custody on a murder charge in connection with a death of a man from stab wounds.

Steven D. Probst, Jr., 27, of Louisville, was arrested Dec. 20 by Louisville Metro Police homicide detectives.

Just before 11 a.m. Dec. 5, an LMPD officer was flagged down at Huon Drive and Bashford Manor Lane after a man was found with multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to University of Louisville Hospital where he died the next morning.

After LMPD homicide detectives reviewed surveillance video, they saw the victim leaving a home on Huon Drive about five minutes before being founf by police.

Investigators say Probst lived at the home in question and the victim was living in Probst's garage. An eyewitness told detectives that he saw Probst stabbed the victim.

Probst is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections and is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow morning.
