LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Governor Andy Beshear, Congressman John Yarmuth, and Mayor Greg Fischer joined forces Monday to announce a huge donation to YouthBuild Louisville.

The $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor will help YouthBuild's operation funding.

The organization helps young people meet their life goals through vocational skills, social services, and college placement by splitting time between the occupational skills training site and the classroom.

The Department of Labor awarded 67 grants with more than $85 million given to YouthBuild programs across the country.
