Plane crash knocks out power in northern Hardin County

VINE GROVE, Ky. (WAVE) - The crash of a small plane into a field in Hardin County has left several thousand people without power.

The crash happened at Joe Prather Highway and Trojan Way, near North Middle School. The plane hit a power transmission line.

According to Vine Grove police, an estimated 8,000 people in the Vine Grove and Radcliff areas are without power.

The pilot is reported to have a bump to his head, but no major injuries.
