THIS AFTERNOON-SUNDAY: Scattered heavy downpours will be on the radar. The concern is the slow motion they will have. Localized flash flooding will be a risk during this time with the challenge being exact locations and timing. Just make sure you have a way to get alerts in case a flash flooding potential develop in your neighborhood.
NEXT WEEK: The heat will steal the headlines for a few days and when I say heat, I mean roughly around 90 degrees give or take a degree. Nothing crazy but we haven’t had too many 90s in August (just 2). Starting Thursday, we’ll have to watch how the tropics evolve with heavy rain potentially being thrown north our way just as a cold front settles into the area. Lots of questions on that setup and it is just too early to pinpoint.
Have a Goode One!
