LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Norton Children’s Hospital’s largest annual fundraiser Snow Ball was virtual For the first time in 31 years Saturday.
The annual fundraiser streamed online raising money to help patients and families.
Wave 3 News anchor Shannon Cogan emceed the event and Taylor Durden hosted interviews and announced the winners.
Raffle tickets sold out for the first time in 2020 with a brand new home in Norton Commons, and a B-M-W up for grabs.
Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation says the money raised is important so their work can continue.
“That’s a big difference to the lives of the kids at Norton Children’s Hospital. That’s the community stepping up to make a difference when the hospital needed it the most. So it’s so important to fund the programs, the trials, the equipment, the staffing that’s needed to keep Norton Children’s Hospital state of the art” Said Julia Leggett with the Norton Children Hospital Foundation.
The winner of the brand new home in Norton Commons is John Barron of Prospect who bought his ticket during the sellathon on WAVE 3 News.
And the winner of the 2021 BMW from BMW of Louisville is Sari Norris of Louisville, who is a nurse at the VA. Norris says she buys a ticket every year and used to work at Norton children’s hospital.
