LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – An EMS unit was involved in a crash with four other vehicles Friday afternoon.
The accident, which involved a Buechel Fire EMS ambulance, was reported in the 6500 block of Manslick Road around 2:35 p.m., according to MetroSafe.
Jefferson County Fire spokesman Jordan Yuodis said the ambulance was transporting a patient in a non-emergency run to UofL Health Mary and Elizabeth Hospital when it rear-ended a car that stopped suddenly in traffic.
The extent of the injuries involved have not been released but dispatchers said none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
