LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville’s David Johnson fired in 20 points to spark the Cards over Boston College, 76-64 on Saturday in Chestnut Hill, MA. Johnson who tallied 14 of his 20 in the first half, drilled a step back triple as the first half ended and U of L led 37 to 24 at the intermission.
In the second half, Louisville’s Carlik Jones delivered one of his six assists to Dre Davis, who scored on a baseline layup to put the Cards up 17, 41-24. Jones enjoyed a solid outing, scoring 15 points and grabbing 9 rebounds.
Later, Jones tossed a long pass to Sam Williamson who slammed down a dunk with just over eight minutes left to play and the Cards led 56-45. Williamson finished with 12 points. Later with under six minutes to go, Williamson struck again with a triple to put his team up 13, 61-48.
The Cards are now 7-1 and 2-0 in league play.
