LMPD: Woman shot in Chickasaw neighborhood, investigation underway

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police is investigating after a woman was shot early Sunday morning in the Chickasaw neighborhood.

Police were called to the 1000 block of South 40th Street around 3:45 a.m., according to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell.

When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been shot at the location. The woman was sent to University Hospital and is expected to be OK.

Louisville Metro Police continue their investigation at this time. So far, there are no suspects.
