2 teens injured in shooting on Taylorsville Road

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Two teenagers were injured during a shooting involving another vehicle in Strathmoor Village.

Police were called about a possible shooting victim knocking on doors in the 1800 block of Yale Drive around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to Louisville Metro Police Department spokeswoman officer Beth Ruoff.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, who Ruoff said was in his late teens, with a gunshot wound. The teen was taken to University of Louisville Hospital and is expected to recover.

Around the same time, another teenager was taken to Jewish Hospital in downtown Louisville with what appeared to be a graze wound.

Police believe both of the teens were in the same vehicle driving in the 2400 block of Taylorsville Road and were engaged in a shooting with another vehicle.

Police have not located the second vehicle involved. A third vehicle, that was not involved, was hit with crossfire. Police said the person in that vehicle was not injured.
