LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A staple in the Louisville community is closing after more than five decades.

The owners of Shively Sporting Goods, located on Dixie Highway, announced Saturday that they are closing their doors.

The family-owned business was founded in 1968. Shively Sporting Goods is doing a liquidation sale this week before they officially close up shop.
