LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A late announcement was made as to who would perform the Rider’s Up call ahead of Kentucky Derby 147.

Churchill Downs tweeted at 5:51 p.m. that Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas, 85, would perform the duties.

Jack Harlow’s song “What’s Popp’N’” was used to introduce the jockeys ahead of the call.

Harlow, a Louisville native, was back in his hometown Friday and posted photos of himself at Churchill Downs.
