(Gray News) - Verizon experienced a service outage affecting a few Southern states on Friday morning, but the wireless company said that the issue has been fixed.

According to Downdetector and Verizon’s service map, the outage was limited mostly to Alabama and Georgia, with areas of nearby states also experiencing problems.

“Some of our customers in Georgia and Alabama may have experienced a disruption in service overnight,” Verizon said in a statement. “Our network team quickly identified and fixed the issue, and service was fully restored early this morning.”
