Man accused of killing child’s mother, kidnapping child caught

Police have caught the man wanted for killing his child’s mother and kidnapping his child on Sunday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Police have caught the man wanted for killing his child’s mother and kidnapping his child on Sunday.

Christopher Gordon, 32, is accused of shooting Angelica James several times, killing her, and shooting her 10-year-old son in the hand and shoulder.

He is also accused of kidnapping he and James’ 2-year-old son, who was later brought to the police by Gordon’s family.

Gordon was found by officers in Louisville on Thursday afternoon after a four-day search.

According to an arrest report, Gordon is listed as a multiple time convicted felon in Jefferson County.

Gordon has been charged with murder-domestic violence, assault, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

He is booked in Metro Corrections and is scheduled to appear in court on March 4.
