Update: Deer in Cannelton safe after container removed from head

CANNELTON, Ind. (WFIE) - A push in Cannelton to save Jughead the deer has worked.
Residents tell us he had been running around the Clifton Heights area for about a week with the container stuck to his head.
They said nobody could get close enough to help him.
Viewer Riley Horton shared with us that Zac Howerton from The National Forest Service used tranquilizers to get to the deer and get the container off his head.
He says the deer is alive and well.
Horton says Jughead is now going to need a new name. This author votes for Forsythe.
