Sen. Rand Paul talks key issues in America at Boyce College

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - U.S. Senator Rand Paul was in Louisville Monday visiting Boyce College, which is part of the Southern Baptist Seminary.
Senator Paul hosted a forum, inside Boyce’s Alumni Chapel, to hear about which issues are most important for students. Paul also discussed what he’s working on in the Senate.
During a question and answer session, Paul got on the topic of the National Debt.
“Some people look at the 100 years of the stock market, and they say there are 7 days of downturns that account to like 80% or 90% of the loss of stock value,” Paul said. “It happened in one day. Could there be a day in which we lose confidence, the world loses confidence? Could we lose our reserve not gradually over time but all of a sudden? I’m amazed countries still buy our treasuries because of how much debt we have.”
Senator Rand Paul also discussed the current conflict between Israel and Hamas during his visit.
