Nelson County judge pushes next court appearance for Joseph Lawson to 2024
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Nelson County judge overseeing the Crystal Rogers case has pushed back a scheduled court appearance for Joseph Lawson, a suspect charged in connection with Rogers’ murder.
Lawson, who is charged with criminal conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with evidence, was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday for a pretrial conference. Court documents show that scheduled hearing has now been moved to January 5, 2024.
Lawson was arrested in connection to the death of Crystal Rogers back in September. He was arraigned shortly after and made his initial court appearance from a hospital bed.
It’s not immediately clear why his court appearance scheduled for October 26 was moved.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
