Nelson County police searching for man accused of stabbing woman

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Nelson County police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a man accused of stabbing a woman.
On Thursday, October 18, police said a woman called from a home on Camp Branch Road and said she locked herself in a bedroom after 33-year-old Daniel Mendez allegedly stabbed her.
She was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive her injuries.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office said Mendez had an active warrant out for charges of attempted murder and attempted strangulation.
