Coroner identifies man killed in shooting on West Broadway

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting between the California and Russell neighborhoods Saturday.
LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said around 4 a.m. officers were called to the 2500 block of West Broadway where they found a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Officer later identified the man as 37-year-old Ronald F. Batey of Louisville.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating. There are no suspects.
