LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A joint operation between Louisville Metro Police and Kentucky State Police aimed at protecting your children had ended with the arrest of 14 men from across Kentuckiana.
LMPD and KSP investigators posed as teens online. During their online chats, the 14 suspects allegedly asked the officers, who they thought were teens, to meet them for sex. When the men showed up at public places across Kentuckiana to meet these imaginary teens, they were arrested.
"With these arrests, we've prevented no telling how many future children from being victimized. This operation has definitely made our community and state a safer place for our children to live," said LMPD Major Joe Richardson.
The operation was spearheaded by the LMPD Crimes Against Children Unit.
The most disturbing arrest was a man who police say was in the process of becoming a bus driver for the Jefferson County school system.
