HENRYILLE, IN (WAVE) - The Rural Membership Water Corp. in Henryville, Indiana has issued a boil water advisory due to a water main break on the south side of the system. There has been a loss of water pressure to customers south of the Monroe Township Fire Department.

The boil water advisory is being issued as a precaution since there's no reason to believe the water has been contaminated. Just to be safe, residents are advised to boil all water for consumption and cooking until testing can be completed on Wednesday, Sept. 8.

Bring water to a rolling boil for at least five minutes until the advisory expires.

Once the advisory is lifted, people with automatic ice makers should empty ice trays at least twice to make sure all potentially contaminated water has been flushed from the system.
