SHELBYVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Baton Rouge truck driver hauling hazardous materials was stopped in Shelby County by the Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division in December and arrested for DUI.
According to a press release from Kentucky State Police, an officer stopped a semi driven by Denise Lock for a routine inspection. Upon further investigation, the officer noticed Lock looked as if she had been drinking.
An open alcoholic beverage was subsequently found in the driver's area of the semi and Lock was arrested and taken to the Shelby County Detention Center.
She was charged with operating a commercial vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
