Old Louisville fire caused by welding torch

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville firefighters have been able to bring a fire in an Old Louisville building under control. The fire in the three-story building at the 1806 South Third Street was reported just before 6 p.m.

The building houses a leasing office for Cardinal Towne, a site offering urban campus living close to the University of Louisville's Belknap Campus.

Extra fire crews had to be called to help at the scene. The blaze was brought under control around 6:35 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
