ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) – A former English teacher at LaRue County High School has been arrested on charges she had sex with a student. Natalie Gentry was taken into custody by Kentucky State Police in Thursday.
Gentry, 33, is charged with one count of sexual abuse, a felony, and two counts of official misconduct, a Class B misdemeanor. The charges came after a KSP investigation that began in October into allegation that Gentry engaged in sexual relations with at least one male student at her home in Hardin County.
Gentry is no longer an employee of the school district. In a statement issued to WAVE 3 in November, Sam Sanders, the LaRue County Schools superintendent, said Gentry was notified in writing on October 24 that her contract had been terminated.
Gentry was booked in to the Hardin County Detention Center and was released after posting bond. She will be arraigned on February 3 in Elizabethtown.
