LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The son of Louisville's former police chief is once again in trouble with the law. Robert C. White III was arrested on late on January 28 for violating an emergency protective order.
The car that White, 30, was driving was stopped by an officer on Bardstown Road at Tyler Parkway for a traffic violation. During the stop, police discovered that White's wife was a passenger. According to the existing EPO/DVO, White was to have no contact with his wife.
Just two days before White appeared before a judge and pled guilty to domestic violence charges from an October incident during which he hit and threatened to kill his wife. Under that plea deal, White would get a two year sentence, but could avoid jail time if he completed a diversion program.
