ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - The Hardin County man charged with a deadly shooting was in court Wednesday morning as prosecutors presented probable cause evidence during a hearing.
Police charged Robert Tarafa, 26, with murder after he allegedly shot Frank Knapp, 32, nine times over a woman on June 9. The Commonwealth Attorney's Office called Detective Clinton Turner to the stand.
Turner testified two guns were used by Tarafa. Turner also said the a preliminary Medical Examiner's report indicated Kanpp suffered from nine bullet wounds.
The shooting took place outside of apartment #18 on East Memorial Drive.
Officers said Tarafa attempted to run away after the shooting. Police eventually caught up with him and took him in for questioning.
Tarafa is charged with murder, tampering, receiving stolen property and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. The charges have been referred to a grand jury.
