Trial date set for former teacher accused of sexual abuse

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) – The former LaRue County teacher charged with sexual abuse has entered a not guilty plea after being indicted by a grand jury.

Natalie Gentry, 33, is accused of having encounters with two male students from LaRue County High School at her home in Hardin County. One of the students was 17, the other 18.

Gentry, an English teacher, was fired from her job in October 2011 after Kentucky State Police began investigating allegations she engaged in sexual acts with students.

A pre-trial conference is set for October 1. Trial for Gentry is scheduled to begin March 18, 2013.
