LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police have charged a 17-year-old boy in connection with the murder of a man Tuesday morning in the Parkland neighborhood.
The shooting, which happened around 9:30 a.m. on July 17 at 2724 Grand Avenue, killed Jesse Williams, 21, and wounded a woman in the home.
According to Dwight Mitchell, a LMPD spokesperson, the teen was arrested Tuesday evening. Mitchell said the teen, whose name is not being released because he is a juvenile, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and tampering with physical evidence.
Metro police said the juvenile was the person officers were involved in a foot chase with shortly after the shooting.
The woman wounded was taken to University Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg. Her injury is said to be non-life threatening.
