HENRYVILLE, IN (WAVE) - Help Portrait is looking for volunteers to help give victims of the March second tornadoes a new family portrait.

Help Portrait is a world-wide movement of photographers and volunteers providing free portraits to those in need. Because many families lost not only their homes, but also many family pictures, Help Portrait chose Henryville and surrounding areas as its next place to bring portraits and hope.

Professional photographers will be at Southeast Country lake retreat in Underwood Indiana on September 8-9, 2012. They need volunteers to help take pictures, do hair and makeup, to sign people in and to help entertain kids waiting for their pictures to be taken. If you'd like to volunteer click here.

Families will get their hair and makeup done, and have a family portrait taken. They will get a DC of images, and a coupon or gift card to cover printing at least a basic 8x10 or 11x14 photo. They'll also be able to make thank you cards to send to the first responders who helped following the tornado.

Organizers are also looking for help with supplies. They need burnable CD's, construction paper or card stock, crayons, stickers and $5 gift cards to chain stores (Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, etc) where families can take a CD and have an 8x10 print made.
