LONDON, KY (WAVE) – A Kentucky woman accused of trading her newborn baby for a truck is now facing a lighter criminal charge.
A judge reduced Heather Kaminsky's charges from a Class B felony to a Class D felony, which carries a maximum of five years behind bars.
Investigators said Kaminsky gave her child to Jaimie and Jeremy Brown in exchange for a truck.
Kaminsky said Brown is the child's father and she has the paperwork to prove it.
The Browns have both pled not guilty to charges of human trafficking.
