GEORGETOWN, IN (WAVE) - Two Georgetown, Indiana residents have been arrested after authorities received a tip that marijuana plants were growing in their backyard.

After observing the plants in plain view growing behind an unattached garage next to the residence, police were able to obtain a search warrant of the property in the 9100 block of Walnut Street. During that search Rachel A. Nethery, 24, was found inside the house in a locked upstairs bedroom which also contained additional marijuana plants, smoking devices and other paraphernalia.

A second resident, Joshua A. Magnuson, 31, arrived at the house while officers were still conducting their search. Both Nethery and Magnuson were arrested and are charged with possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia. They are being held at the Floyd County Jail.
