Accused serial killer back in Floyd County

NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) – The man accused of the murders of multiple southern Indiana women is back in Floyd County.

WAVE 3 has learned William Clyde Gibson has been transferred back to the Floyd County Detention Center. He was being held in the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility located in Carlisle, Indiana.

He is scheduled to be in court Wednesday for a pre-trial hearing.

Gibson is accused in the murders of three women, Christine Whitis, 75, Karen Hodella, 45, and Stephanie Kirk, 35.

His trial is expected to begin in February.
