LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Police said a group of Louisville residents were doing much more than getting a good night's rest at a motel.

Detectives said the seven people were dealing heroin out of the EconoLodge on Preston Highway between Fern Valley Road and East Indian Trail.

According to a police report, Paula Putty and Lemar "Boogie" Montgomery had several texts referencing drug deals. Investigators said the pair along with five others were caught with heroin, marijuana, digital scales, cash and guns.

All seven face multiple charges including trafficking in a controlled substance.
