Downtown crash causes traffic backup

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An accident involving several vehicles tied up traffic at a busy downtown intersection Wednesday morning.
The crash was reported at 1st and Broadway just after 8:15 a.m. One of the vehicles involved ended up on its side and took out a utility pole.
At least one person was taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known.
The crash had eastbound traffic on Broadway and southbound traffic on First Street was blocked for a time.
