Louisville's Catholic Charities donate to OK tornado victims

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville has teamed with local Catholic charities to collect funds for the victims of the Oklahoma tornados.

"They're doing well with volunteers. In some areas they're turning volunteers away," said Bart Weigel, Catholic Charities Louisville communications director. "The best way people can help right now is with a monetary donation."

Starting this weekend, parishes throughout the Louisville Archdiocese will host a special collection for relief funds. Members of Catholic Charities Louisville will send those funds to Catholic Charities USA for disbursement to tornado victims.

Anyone wishing to donate to the fund can send a check to Catholic Charities Louisville with the notation "Tornado Relief" to the following address:
