Switch to Time Warner begins for Insight internet, email customers

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Monday marked the start of the next phase of the transition of Insight customers to Time Warner.

Last week, customers with telephone service were asked to set up their voicemails. This week, former Insight customers must complete the internet and email registration process to continue having access to online browsing capabilities.

Several customers experienced difficulties with the switchover of telephone service last week. However, Time Warner said the number of customers affected was much smaller than the number of customers who successfully switched over.

Time Warner will issue new email addresses ending in, but customers can continue to login to an insight email account until June 2014. After that, Time Warner addresses with the domain will no longer be supported.

The cable channel lineup isn't scheduled to change, but Time Warner will provide ample notice if future changes occur.

The company previously said there are also no planned changes to rates and billing packages.
