LEXINGTON, KY (AP) - Jenna Day of Louisville is the new Miss Kentucky and will now go on to compete in the Miss America pageant.
According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, the 21-year-old University of Kentucky student beat 32 other contestants to win the three day pageant that ended Saturday night.
Besides entry into the Miss America pageant in September, Day also won a $12,000 scholarship and a new Lexus.
She will also have a full-time job with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture for a year, representing the department at various events across the state.
Day says she will also advocate for improving the lives of special-needs children.
