LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville woman confessed to using a computer to assign value to prepaid debit/credit cards she stole from the Sears store where she worked, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Sierra R. Barger, 24, was arrested July 10 at the Oxmoor Center Sears after a loss prevention officer at the store contacted police. Barger's arrest report states that the store officer told police he had video of Barger taking the cards and running them through a computer, putting $400 on one card and $500 on 16 other cards over a span of five days.

The store officer said Barger's job did not provide access to any computer at the store and that she used one without the consent of a manager.

Police said Barger admitted in writing to taking and swiping the cards through a computer. She is charged with two counts of theft by unlawful taking and unlawful access to a computer.
